my friend thought that i was really good for this movie role so he signed me up for online auditions where i just send a few videos.
the director replied and said that i could have one of the main roles. but she stressed on the importance of how this character was known for her eyes, so no glasses or what not
thing is, im literally blind without my glasses and my parents have a thing with contacts. they said that i probably would look retarded in them and, if just for this movie role, they’d rather me stray away from it.
my eyes are about a 5 degrees.
sooo… do you think i should still go for it?
i have confidence issues and if i cant see the script, i panick a lot.
yeah well, my parents are relaly prejudiced and learn-from-your-mistakes kind of people. a few of our close friends were blinded/badly affected by contacts.
this job isn’t *that* important for me and even less so for them. so contacts are out of the option.
glasses…. if it comes to it, i COULD wear it, but just saying, without it, will it still work?

IPCC head Rajendra Pachauri plans to tell the Copenhagen Summit that after 7 more years it will be impossible to save the earth because temperatures will rise by 2.5C degrees. The African Union will demand 65 billion dollars at Copenhagen. Copenhagen will hear that it’ll cost tens of billions of dollars annually to deal with climate emergencies.
Climategate has shown global warming science to be suspect. The earth hasn’t warmed in the last ten years, the Atlantic hurricane season this year was the quietest in history and last winter set a record for the coldest ever.

http://www.geekscribes.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/l_00951668.jpg
and takes up half my bleeping case and heats up to like 1001201204 degrees C
Did i get ripped off? did someone send me an old version or am i jsut stupid and they are slightly different cards and i bought the cheap one by mistake?

I have been reading all these articles online, trying to find out if hookah smoking is better for you than cigarettes. Yet, only 40% of the articles I have read talk about hookah smoking being better (60% say it’s worse or no better for you). But I do not understand the logic behind the people who are going against hookah smoking? Here are things that they say:
- A Hookah session lasts a half an hour to 45 minutes, when a cigarette doesn’t last nearly as long, which they say makes it worse. [A cigarette smoker, most of the time, has more than just one cigarette a day. And cigarettes can last from seven to ten minutes, basically they just need to smoke approx. five cigarettes a day to match the single hookah session that hookah smokers have per day.]
- Hookah smokers inhale twice as much smoke than a cigarette smoker, most of the time anyway- which makes it worse apparently. [Hookah smokers do inhale a bit more smoke but as soon as the smoke is in their lungs and their done inhaling, they exhale immediately, unlike cigarette smokers where they keep the smoke in their lungs for a few seconds. Plus cigarette smoke reaches temperatures of 140 degrees fahrenheit when hookah smoke rarely reaches 90 degrees fahrenheit, which would irritate your lungs less.]
- The water in the base doesn’t really filter out toxins, apparently. [Well how do you figure that? The water starts off clear at the beginning of a hookah session and after it's a murky greyish colour? Are the "experts" telling me that the substance causing the colour change is nothing? Yeah right! It clearly filters out the heavier toxins.]
Well there’s my rant and info to go with the rant. Tell me your opinions!

I can’t help but noticing that many Americans ask the most ridiculous questions about Canada, usually in forums and such. I’ve seen questions like “Will I see polar bears walking the streets in Canada?” I mean seriously, I’ve never seen a polar bear in my life! I’ve seen a question online where someone actually asks how us Canadians can get Internet in our igloos. IGLOOS! Let me clear this up, I have never seen an igloo in my life either. Also, some people seem to think that our cities are nothing more than small population settlements. I assure you, the city of Toronto has a population of about 3 000 000 people. (Not counting the surrounding areas.)
What really bothers me is that some people seem to think that it is cold all year round here, but we have seasons just like everywhere else. Today the Temperature was approaching 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees farenheit for Americans out there.) when you factor in humidity.
My point is that Canada isn’t home to just eskimos and lumberjacks. Do other Canadians notice the misconceptions about our country? Do you American users think or have friends that think this is a wilderness land?
All opinions are welcome.

I have this math question that asks for the distance between point A and C on a triangle. What formula would i use?
I’m given two measurements of this triangle, both in degrees. How do i do this?
This is the answer i got from my online tutor but it looks soo wrong and confusing
AD = x
BD = 430 – x
In D ADC CD
= AD tan 72°
= 3.08 x
In D BDC CD
= BD tan 77°
= 4.33(430 – x)
= 1862.53 – 4.33x
x = 251.35 m
In D ADC, AC
= AD/cos 72°
= x/cos 72
= 251.35/cos 72°
= 813.4 m
= 813 m.
The distance from cabin A to the lifeguard tower is 813 m.

What a silly question, but I’ve always admitted I’m a baker, not a cook!… How do you make a baked potato? I read online basically poke holes and put it in the oven at 425 degrees for about 40-55 mins. How do you know if it is ready after 40 or should wait till 55? And I am sure I remember my mom would wrap them in foil. Does that affect the cooking time? Thanks!
